Pupil Premium Funding
Pupil Premium is extra funding given to schools by the government to help improve the progress and achievement of disadvantaged pupils. It is designed to close the gap between children from low-income families and their peers.
At our school, we use this funding to provide additional support such as small group teaching, targeted interventions, access to enrichment activities, and pastoral care. This helps ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background.
Pupil Premium is allocated for pupils who:
Are eligible for free school meals (or have been in the last 6 years)
Are in care or have been adopted from care
Have a parent in the armed forces
We publish a yearly plan and report showing how the funding is used and the impact it has on our pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
