Financial Benchmarking

Financial benchmarking of primary schools is the process of comparing a school's income and spending with similar schools to help identify best practices, ensure value for money, and support effective financial management.

This helps primary schools compare their spending on things like staffing, resources, and services with schools of a similar size and type. This supports smarter budgeting, highlights areas for improvement or savings, and ensures funds are being used to benefit pupils effectively.

At Thorn Primary no member of staff earns a gross annual salary of more than £100,000.
